A man is in hospital and three others were arrested following a suspected town centre assault.

Police were called to High Street, Maidstone at 4.20am this morning to reports of a disturbance.

A man was taken to hospital for treatment after he was reportedly assaulted.

He is in a stable condition.

Three men were arrested in connection with the incident and taken into police custody.

They have since been released on bail until August 14.
