A man needed stitches after reportedly being punched in the face in an unprovoked attack.

The victim was walking along Week Street, in Maidstone, when a group of men approached him who he did not know.

Officers believe this man can assist them in their investigation. Picture: Kent Police

One of the members is then said to have punched the man, who is in his 30s, in the face and caused a cut that required stitches.

The incident happened at around 4.35am on Sunday, November 19, in the town centre.

Police officers have now released a CCTV image almost two months later of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
