It is believed that no other vehicles were involved.

Police blocked off the section of road from Salts Avenue to the Linton crossroads by the Shell petrol garage following the accident at 5.55pm yesterday.
It has not been said how long the road was closed for but residents have confirmed that it was still shut past 9pm.

Crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
