Concerns for man near Langley Park Primary Academy in Maidstone prompt police call-out

Concerns for a man near a primary school led to police being called.

Officers were sent to Edmett Way in Maidstone, which is home to Langley Park Primary Academy, after the alarm was raised this afternoon.

However, when they arrived, the man had gone.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 2.50pm on Tuesday, October 12 regarding concerns for a man in Edmett Way, Maidstone.

"Patrols attended and searched the area but the man had left prior to their arrival.

"No offences have been identified and enquiries are continuing into the circumstances."
