Police are investigating following reports of an assault in the town centre.

Officers were called to Bank Street, Maidstone at around 2.15pm and two police cars remain at the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing one man on the ground, with two officers next to him, and another in an adjacent alleyway, appearing to be talking to an officer.
