Deringwood Drive in Downswood, Maidstone reopens after motorbike crash which blocked road in both directions

A biker has been taken to hospital after crashing on a residential street.

This morning Deringwood Drive in Downswood was blocked in both directions between Mallards Way and Willington Street.

It followed reports that a biker had come off in Foxden Drive at around 9.27am – no other vehicles were said to be involved.

Police attended the scene. In a statement it said: “Kent Police was called to a report that a motorcyclist had come off his bike.

“Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the rider was treated for injuries that are not described as life threatening.

“He was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention”

The incident was said to be cleared by 10.10am.
