Three fire engines and air ambulance called to man trapped in car after crash in Water Lane, Hunton, near Maidstone

Three fire engines and an air ambulance were sent to a crash to help a man trapped in a car.

Police and fire and ambulance crews were at the one-car accident in Water Lane, Hunton, near Maidstone.

A spokesman for Kent Police said officers were called to the accident at around 1.30pm

The road was closed until 5pm after the car was recovered.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Ambulance crews including our Hazardous Area Response Team are in attendance."

The air ambulance service was also at the scene.

A spokeswoman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the doors of the car and free the casualty, who was passed into the care of the air ambulance."
