Traffic is now slightly easing after delays were caused by an earlier crash on the A249 Detling Hill just outside Maidstone.

Two cars were involved in the incident on the Sittingbourne-bound carriageway at about 10am. No-one was injured, but the road was partially blocked and queues built up back to Junction 7 of the M20.

Highway officers have now cleared that obstruction, but in the meantime a lorry has broken down in the second lane on Detling Hill and as a result there are still delays, although traffic is now moving.
