Police called after unaccompanied child spotted in Vinters Park area of Maidstone

Police were called after an unaccompanied child was spotted in a residential street.

Officers were sent to the Vinters Park area of Maidstone where the child had been seen at 9.15am this morning.

The youngster has now been re-united with their family and was unharmed.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "We were called to a report an unaccompanied child had been seen in the Vinters Park area of Maidstone.

"Officers have established the child had briefly strayed away from a relative and they have been safely reunited. The child was unharmed."
