Woman injured follwoing four vehicle accident which closed two lanes in Blue Bell Hill A229

A woman was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with a chest abrasion caused by her seatbelt following a four-car collision this morning.

The accident happened at 7.55am this morning on the A229 north-bound between Chatham Road and the M2 J3 for Chatham and Rochester.

The incident, which involved two cars and two lorries, closed two out of three lanes and caused severe delays going as far back as J6 on M20.

The casualty received treatment at the scene by paramedics and the accident was cleared at 9am. Traffic is starting to ease.
