Trains are running again after a signal failure caused lengthy delays and later services to become held up.

There were no services running between Swanley and Gillingham due to the problem reported at Longfield, near Dartford earlier this morning.

Southeastern warned passengers travelling along the Sole Street line with services diverted to Denmark Hill and not calling between Bromley South and Rochester.

Further services running between London Victoria and Dover Priory will be diverted and not stop at Bromley South.

Engineers from Network Rail have fixed the issue with trains returning to normal at about 10.15am.

Passengers were able to use their ticket on any routes including Thameslink and London Underground during the disruption but anyone delayed by more than 15 minutes are eligible for the Delay Repay scheme.
