Medway youngsters from The Academy of Cuxton Schools and Rochester City Football Club take part in loo roll challenge

Youngsters in Medway have been getting creative with loo roll to keep themselves busy during lockdown.

Many people have taken on the viral challenge in which people can be seen passing or kicking toilet paper to each other.

Teachers from The Academy of Cuxton Schools take on the loo roll challenge

Teachers from The Academy of Cuxton Schools and their children joined in the fun, setting their challenge to The Black Eyed Peas hit, I've Gotta Feeling.

The video was put together by the schools' sports coach Tom Carlse, who is seen in the video under an avalanche of loo roll.

The schools also donated their science goggles and pupils’ drawings and letters, thanking NHS staff for all of their hard work, to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.

Charlotte Aldham-Breary, acting head teacher at The Academy of Cuxton Schools, said: “These are very unexpected times, but being able to put a smile on the faces of our pupils and their families means a lot, and we had quite a bit of fun making it happen."

"The entire community has pulled together in so many different ways, and that’s just wonderful to be a part of.”

Youngsters from Rochester City under sevens team also showed off their fancy footwork for the challenge.

Jenny Woolley, whose husband Lee is the team's coach, said: "The team had great fun making this video in the safety of their own homes, helping to bring them together in these tough times."
