Gillingham will be hoping key midfielders Olly Lee and Kyle Dempsey have shaken off knocks by the weekend.

Both would have been doubts for the midweek game at Lincoln City which was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Sincil Bank.

The Gills are in action at home against what has been a free-scoring Rochdale side on Saturday. Nobody outside of the League 1 play-off places have scored more than Rochdale but they were beaten 1-0 at Doncaster on Tuesday night.

Speaking about the injured pair on Tuesday, Gills boss Steve Evans said: “We will see how they are. There is no gimme that they will be ready for the weekend but we will get on with it.

“Dempsey is displaying Championship form. He played a lot of games at that level for Huddersfield, he really is a top player. They have got bangs and bruises and we will see how they are.”
