Residents on Romney Marsh were without electricity this morning after an unexpected power cut.

UK Power Networks confirmed on their website that the suspended service to the Marsh affected the TN28 postcode, involving more than 150 customers from around 9am.

The cause given is down to engineers redirecting power due to a fault on the electricity network.
