Emergency services called to Neats Court Retail Park, Thomsett Way, Queenborough

Emergency services were called to a retail park.

Medics, police and fire crews were all seen at Neats Court Retail Park in Thomsett Way, Queenborough, today (Tuesday).

A spokesman for South East Ambulance Service later confirmed a person had died.

He said: "We were called shortly after midday to reports a person had collapsed. Ambulance crews attended the scene. Sadly, despite their best efforts, the person died at the scene."

An eye-witness said she saw two police cars, one ambulance and a first responder car parked near Sports Direct. Part of the car park was closed.

Another shopper said she counted eight police cars. She said: "They blocked off the central entrance to the car park."

She added that a number of cars were covered in police tape.

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Thomsett Way, Queenborough at 12.10pm to assist the South East Coast Ambulance Service with a medical incident."
