A pupil at a Sittingbourne school has become the poster boy for one of the world’s largest technology firms.

Adrian Angol-Henry, who attends Fulston Manor School, Brenchley Road, is featured in an advert about the Kano computer.

The device, powered by Windows 10, is built especially to teach young people how to code and create technology software. The video has had more than 1,000 views on YouTube.

Adrian is seen in the film using code to make music with a keyboard.

The 16-year-old featured in the promotional material after he first learnt about the firm at the annual IT and technology trade conference, The Bett Show, in London at the age of seven.

After he met the creators, Adrian began speaking to other children on Kano’s stand, later finding out they were the children of the then education secretary Education, Michael Gove.

The Year 11 pupil, who studies music, journalism and computing, completed filming on the footage last year.

Publicity and events manager, Sarah Palmer, said: “Kano was impressed with Adrian’s attitude and thirst for knowledge and took his details.

“The rest, as they say is history and Adrian has been testing and advising the company since then.”

Adrian said: “It is a great company and I have learnt so much about coding and building computers.

“I like composing music because you can get the perfect chord progression and see everyone’s faces and their enjoyment.

“One piece of music can change the mood in anyone. I use Kano code because it’s easier to read.”
