Beach walkers will soon be able to get even more active as brand new equipment is installed.

The gym items, including a static cycling machine, are being put in along The Leas in Minster, Sheppey.

Workmen were seen putting the bases in this morning.

It is understood about 11 items will go in over today and tomorrow.

The apparatus, which is being replaced as part of pre-programmed works, was originally meant to be in by early July.

Delays with the manufacturer meant the installation has been put off until this week.
