Man from Minster, Sheppey, released without charge following arson arrest after West Street, Sittingbourne, shop fire

A man arrested in connection with a fire at a homeware shop in Sittingbourne has been released.

Officers let the 50-year-old man from Minster, Sheppey, go on Saturday, April 18, after he was arrested on suspicion of arson.

It followed the incident which took place at a shop, Razzle N Dazzle, in West Street in the early hours of Sunday, December 29.

When asked for an update on the investigation, a police spokesman said: "The man arrested for this offence has now been released without charge.

"The investigation remains active."
