Man from Minster, Sheppey, arrested after suspected arson attack at Razzle n Dazzle in West Street, Sittingbourne, bailed by police

A man arrested on suspicion of arson after part of a town centre shop went up in flames has been bailed.

Officers were called to interior design shop Razzle n Dazzle in West Street, Sittingbourne, where they also found a car alight on Sunday at about 4.45am.

Power was cut off to the road and returned at about 10am the same day.

An arson investigation began and a 50-year-old man from Minster, Sheppey, was taken into custody in connection with the shop fire.

The suspect was bailed until Monday, January 27.

Rene Havill, who owns and runs the shop, said she had only recently extended it to once-empty premises next door.
