Man arrested on suspicion of murder after death in Tunbridge Wells

A murder investigation has been launched after a man died at an address in a residential street.

Police and the air ambulance were called to the scene in Sherwood Road in Tunbridge Wells at 10.42am where a man, named locally as Gordon Farnes, died after sustaining serious injuries.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.

It is believed the suspect and victim, who was 43, were known to each other.

The air ambulance had landed at Temple Grove Academy, shortly before noon.

The victim's next of kin have been informed.
