A21 caravan blaze near Pembury thought to be deliberate

The fire service was called to reports of a caravan alight on the A21, near Pembury last night.

It is thought that the vehicle had been abandoned and set alight deliberately.

Two fire engines attended and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

No casualties were reported.

The initial call came in at 8.15pm and the incident was dealt with within half an hour.
