Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, closed due to fallen tree

A village road has closed due to a fallen tree.

The A229 Cranbrook Road is closed in both directions in Hawkhurst.

The road is shut between the Western Road and Winchester Road junctions.

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes and to expect delays in the area.

A spokesman for Kent Highways confirmed a crew is on route to deal with the obstacle.
