Visits will need to book online, including for those who already have tickets.

Managers said in a statement: "The safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our priority, therefore our reopening process will be phased and gradual."

They added: "The funds raised through admission tickets is vital to the future of the Leeds Castle Foundation. As a thank you for your patience all new admission tickets purchased to Leeds Castle will receive an additional three months."
