Next summer's Leeds Castle Concert will celebrate the centenary of the roaring 20s.

For its 42nd year and marking 2020, the popular event, which attracts thousands to the castle near Maidstone every summer, will recreate classic tunes from the Swing era with the help of the Down for the Count Swing Orchestra.

The castle was the scene of many socialite parties in the 20s, thrown by castle owner Lady Baillie.

But the 20s celebration won't be just a nostalgia trip – the band perform each song in their own unmistakable style, breathing new life into the vintage music.

The summertime special, which will be held on Saturday, July 11, will welcome back the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with conductor and artistic director John Rigby.

The evening will include the visual spectacle of field guns, an iconic Spitfire display and firework finale.
