Man spat at and woman verbally abused in Whitstable Harbour

A man was spat at and a woman verbally abused in an assault at a harbour.

Police were called to Whitstable Harbour just before 2.30pm last Wednesday to reports of an incident involving two victims.

A woman reported she was verbally abused by a man thought to be about 18-years-old.

The perpetrator is then alleged to have spat in the face of another man before leaving the area.

Officers have now launched an investigation into the disturbance and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The young man is described as about 6ft tall, of slim build, with short dark hair, stubble and wearing dark shorts.
