Police name three charged after £1m cannabis farm on Newington industrial estate of Haine Road, Ramsgate raided

Police have charged three men after they raided a cannabis farm worth more than £1 million.

Officers carried out the drugs warrant in a morning raid of a commercial unit off Haine Road in Ramsgate yesterday.

The force stormed the site at the Haine Industrial Park in Leigh Road, Newington.

About 1,700 cannabis plants were seized, along with cultivation equipment.

UK Power Networks was also called to the scene to make it safe.

There were concerns the electricity in the building had been tampered with.

Tom Doku, 48, Arvaniti Ilirjan, 43, and Ervin Zenelaj, 33, were charged with producing cannabis and dishonestly abstracting electricity.

The three men, who are all of no fixed address, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on June 3.
