This is the efit image of a man police want to speak to after a terrifying armed robbery as a couple slept in their beds.

It comes after a 57-year-old man and his partner were awoken to a noise downstairs in their home in Swain Road, Tenterden.

The incident happened almost two weeks ago but details have only just been released by police.

The victims got out of bed to see two men walking upstairs at around 4.45am on Friday, June 14.

The first raider grabbed the man's partner, demanding cash.

The second man then struggled with the 57-year-old - who only gave up when he was threatened with a gun. The raider was later also found to be carrying a crowbar.

The couple were forced to hand over cash before the raiders fled in a yellow car.

The first suspect is said to be white and heavily built, in his 50s, around 6ft tall with stubble. He was wearing a blue or possibly grey hooded top.

The second raider (whose description matches the picture above) is white, in his 40s, around 5ft 5in tall, with a northern accent, stubble and wearing glasses. He was carrying a crowbar.
