Police say they are linking two suspicious fires in Ashford.

Fire crews informed officers a rubbish bin had been set alight in St Stephen’s Walk at around 3.45am, with flames spreading to a garden shed.

Less than a mile away, in Speldhurst Close, a Volkswagen camper van was torched 40 minutes later.

This fire also spread to a Volkswagen Scirocco parked next to it.
