Police helicopter and armed officers search over Ashford after car damaged with weapon

A police helicopter and armed officers are conducting a search in Ashford after reports a car was damaged with a weapon.

The damage was caused to a car in Osborne Road, Willesborough, and reported to police shortly before 2pm.

Police press officer Steve Knight said: "Officers assisted by armed units and the National Police Air Service helicopter are currently involved in a search following an incident in which damage was caused to a car in Osborne Road, Willesborough.

"The damage was reportedly caused by a weapon.

"The incident was reported to Kent Police at 1.39pm on Saturday, November 19 2016."
