Supernova team win Ashford Big Quiz contest for the second year running

Supernova won the Ashford KM Big Charity Quiz 2013 for the second year running.

They beat off competition from 51 others to claim the Ashford heat held at the Stour Centre last Friday.

The quiz raised £8,500 for Carers’ Support, the Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, and the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.

“We are a reasonably strong team,” admitted modest Supernova team captain Richard Cribb, a retired teacher.

“We have team members who’ve appeared on Mastermind, Brain of Britain and Fifteen to One. We all see the importance of raising money for charity, so we turn up to support and have fun. And if we win, we win!”
