Three taken to hospital after crash in A20 Hythe Road in Ashford outside Wyevale Garden Centre

Three people have been taken to hospital after a smash outside Wyevale Garden Centre in A20 Hythe Road, in Ashford.

Two patients only had minor injuries while the third was complaining of abdomen pain.

The busy road was temporarily closed while officers cleared the carriageway but it has since been reopened.

A witness reported seeing someone being put into an ambulance on a stretcher and another driver walking around with minor injuries.

Emergency crews attended the scene this afternoon.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.50pm on April 29 to reports of a three vehicle collision on Hythe Road, Ashford, near to the garden centre.

"The road is closed at the nearby mini-roundabout whilst the scene is cleared. Minor injuries have been reported and Secamb are also in attendance."
