Cyclist dies after falling off bike in Folkestone

A cyclist has died after falling from his bike in Folkestone.

The 61-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after coming off the bicycle in Dover Hill on Saturday afternoon.

He is thought to have become unsteady as his bike was carrying a large amount of bags and clothing.A man was seriously injured when he fell off this bike in Dover Hill, Folkestone

Kent Police said the man suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident, at about 12.20pm, and later died of his injuries at a London hospital.

Officers are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who saw the man travelling from the Dover direction.
