Two roundabouts usually given a festive makeover at Christmas have not been decorated for the first time in years.
The Bolt in Elwick Road and the Drovers roundabout next to John Lewis in Ashford have both been dressed up in recent winters, but have not received any attention this Christmas.
Siblings Natashia and Alex Whitewood, who have been decorating the Drovers roundabout for five years, say they have no plans to transform the busy junction this Christmas.
Previously, the pair had decorated the metal drover and cow sculptures to resemble Santa and his reindeer - applying red tinsel, antlers and a makeshift sleigh overnight.
But the roundabout has not been given a festive touch this season, sparking disappointment among residents.
Mr Whitewood, who lives in Shadoxhurst, said: "When my sister and I first decided to do it, we just put Santa hats on the cows.
"We then built a sleigh and each year we added something.
"Everything started to get old and tacky and we were going to start from scratch but we didn't get round to it this year."
The 32-year-old says they plan to make a comeback in 2020, along with new ideas to impress motorists.
"There is quite a lot involved - we are leaving it this year but we will do it next year," he said.
"I've received messages from friends who have said their children were upset.
"We want to do something different next year but I'm not sure what at the moment."
Natashia and Alex are not behind the decoration of The Bolt roundabout in the 'shared space' scheme, which has previously been dressed as a snowman and Christmas pudding.
It is not known if or when the mystery artists will strike again this year.
