Driver cut free from car after accident on A20 near Hothfield

A woman was cut free from her car after an accident on the A20 near Hothfield in the early hours.

Emergency services including firefighters from Ashford and Charing were called to the incident about 1am.

The crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut the driver free.

The woman, who is reported to have collided with a parked vehicle, was later taken to a nearby hospital.

Her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Police press officer, Andy Saunders, said: "We were called at 12.50am on September 4 following a collision in School Road, Hothfield.

"It is reported that a car collided with a parked vehicle.

"Officers and Secamb attended the scene and fire crews also assisted as the driver, a woman, was trapped in her car.

"The woman was later taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening."
