Man freed by firefighters from car after crash in Boughton Aluph

Firefighters were called to a crash last night involving two vehicles near Boughton Aluph, Ashford.

Crews were called to the incident on Shottenden Road, Badlesmere near the junction with the A251 just before 6.30pm.

Two engines attended the scene and firefighters helped to release a man who was trapped in a car.

Ambulance crews in a car and an ambulance also attended the scene along with the air ambulance service.

A man approximately in his 60s was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital as a priority. His injuries included a leg injury.
