M20: Crash between junction 10 and 11

Delays have cleared after a four-car crash on the M20 this evening.

The pile-up happened at around 6.30pm on the coast-bound carriageway between junction 10 for Ashford South and 11 for the B2068 Hythe and Westenhanger.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene.

All three lanes were shut while emergency services dealt with the incident, but some traffic was able to pass on the hard shoulder.

The road had reopened by 8pm, but traffic remained slow until around 8.30pm.

No details have been released about whether anyone was injured.
