Owen Lane denies attempted murder after stabbing at house party in Lakemead, Ashford

A 22-­year-­old man accused of attempted murder at a house party in Ashford will stand trial later this year.

Owen Lane was arrested after Rotimi Edwards suffered serious stab wounds in Lakemead, Singleton, on June 4 this year.

Mr Edwards was taken to London’s King’s College Hospital where he underwent surgery. He has since been released.

Prosecutor Alex Rooke said the victim suffered a laceration to his liver and his gallbladder had to be removed.

Lane, of Imperial Way, Ashford, denied the charge when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.

He was remanded in custody to stand trial on October 31.
