Man accused of stealing cleaning products from Wilko in Park Street, Ashford

A man will appear in court following a shoplifting spree in Ashford.

Over a three week period, eight incidents of theft were reported at Wilko in Park Street, in which cleaning supplies were taken.

Now, a 26 year-old-man has been charged.

A police spokesman said: "A suspect is to appear in court charged in connection with a series of thefts from an Ashford store.

"The charge follows an investigation by officers into reports of cleaning products stolen from the business in Park Street between Tuesday, February 14 and Wednesday, March 8.

"Rhys Pick, 26, of no fixed address was arrested and charged on April 6 with eight counts of shoplifting."

He was released on bail to attend Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 25.
