Man taken to hospital after being injured in High Street, Ashford

A man has been taken to hospital after being hurt in a town centre.

Police and paramedics were called to High Street, Ashford at 1.35pm to reports a man had been injured.

Reports on social media said up to four police cars were spotted by Kaspa's in the Lower High Street.

The man was taken to hospital and police are now investigating the incident.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.35pm to a report that a man had been injured in High Street, Ashford.

"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the man was taken to hospital.

"Inquiries into circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing."
