Ashford One Stop robbery suspect charged

Police have arrested and charged a suspected masked robber who stole hundreds of pounds from the till of a convenience store.

Officers were called to the One Stop in Beaver Lane in South Ashford at 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 19.

It was reported that two men entered the shop and threatened staff before stealing the cash, and their faces were covered.

Now, Reuben Garland, of no fixed address, has been charged with the offence and for possessing a knife.

The 23-year-old was arrested on Thursday, and is also accused of stealing two crates of beer from the shop.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, May 15.
