A superb 129 from Matthew Lincoln and a fine bowling display, led by skipper Craig Buckham, helped Ashford to their first win of the season, a 103-run thrashing of Canterbury in Shepherd Neame Kent League Division 1.

Lincoln and Liam Tegg (56) put on 127 for the first wicket as the home side eventually posted 277 all out.

Canterbury began brightly in reply but James Rand (2-42), Mohsin Raza (3-29) and Buckham’s fine spell of 4-18 off 10.2 overs dismissed the visitors for 174 to push Ashford towards mid-table.
