Delays after crash closes A2 London Road in Faversham

A pile-up in Faversham caused delays for motorists this morning.

The crash, which is thought to have involved four cars, happened on the A2 London Road at just before 8am.

The road was closed in both directions between Ashford Road and the Western Link for more than two hours, while emergency crews dealt with the incident.

One person was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, in Ashford, while another was taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital, in Gillingham, with suspected neck injuries.

The road has now re-opened.
