Bluey’s Big Play coming to Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre on first UK tour

CBeebies favourites Bluey and Bingo are bringing their hit stage show to Kent with tickets set to go on sale next week.

The hugely popular children’s TV show is touring UK theatres and will be stopping off at Canterbury’s Marlowe for four dates next April.

The performance, Bluey’s Big Play, has had sell out shows across the United States and Australia but this will be the first time that the adaptation of the popular programme will be performed in the UK.

Bluey is an Australian children’s TV show which follows the curious and energetic animated dog, her little sister Bingo and their parents Bandit and Chilli.

Commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Company in collaboration with the BBC, the programme has been praised for its depiction of positive parenting and its gentle handling of sensitive subjects.

The stage show will feature the well-loved pups in a brand new original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, with new music by the show’s composer Joff Bush.

Huge human-sized puppets will portray the Heeler family, who will be voiced by the original cast.

On their nationwide tour the production will also be performing 16 shows at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Tickets for the dates can be purchased here from 10am on Friday, June 30.

Bluey’s Big Play will is at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from April 4 to April 7, 2024.
