Man arrested after two cars attacked with 'crowbar' on Sea Street, Herne Bay, with at least one having windscreen smashed

A man has been arrested after two cars were attacked with what is believed to be a crowbar.

It happened after two black vehicles were being driven down Sea Street, Herne Bay, on Monday, July 15, at about 5.30pm.

It is believed a man attacked both cars after he got out of another vehicle, which stopped near the junction with Albany Drive.

At least one of them had their windscreen smashed.

The drivers of the black cars, aged 21 and 23 and from Herne Bay, were not injured.

A 49-year-old from the town has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

He has been interviewed and released on bail until August 29.
