Accident on the A2050 at Harbledown causing tailbacks

Police and paramedics remain at the scene of an accident involving a car and a motorbike on the A2050 at Harbledown.

They were called to the busy main route into the north of Canterbury just after 2.30pm today after the crash involving a BMW car and a Harley Davidson motorbike.

Two people riding on the motorbike were seriously injured and have been taken to a London hospital.

The accident happened at the junction of the A2050, which connects Canterbury to the A2, and Church Hill and is close to the Kent College Junior School at Vernon Holme.

Police say the road is still closed while vehicles are being recovered.

Drivers on the A2 say that police have got a rolling road block in operation on the London-bound carriageway.
