Lorry carrying digger overturns on B2046 Adisham Road, Aylesham

A route is blocked and a driver is injured after a lorry carrying a digger left the road and landed on its side.

The crash happened on the B2046 Adisham Road in Aylesham, just off the A2 just before 9.30am today.

Emergency services are on the scene, and the road remains partially shut while work to remove the vehicles is underway.

The driver is believed to have suffered minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 9.26am on Monday 30 October 2023 to Adisham Road, Aylesham following reports a lorry carrying a digger had left the carriageway and ended up on its side.

“The driver reported minor injuries.

“The road is partially obstructed while recovery takes place.”

Traffic information site Inrix reports that there is slow traffic in the area.
