Firefighters tackle blaze in barn near Goodnestone, Canterbury

Firefighters remain at the scene tackling a blaze in which 250 tonnes of baled straw has gone up in flames.

Crews were called to reports that a large barn was alight in Rowling, Goodnestone near Canterbury at around 3.15am this morning.

They found the 30m by 8m structure well alight and are allowing the blaze to burn out in a "controlled situation".

The cause of the fire is unknown.
