Canterbury: Police investigate burglary report in Tennyson Avenue

A burglary victim had a lucky escape when they managed to shut the door on a man who shouted to another to "get the knife".

At about 9.45pm on Friday, April 27 it is reported that man knocked on the door of a house in Tennyson Avenue, Canterbury.

When the occupier answered, the man gestured to a bag he was carrying and tried to get into the house.

When the victim refused the man shouted to another man "get the knife", but the victim managed to shut the door.

Both men then left the scene.

Detectives investigating the burglary have released an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to.

He is described as being 30-years-old, 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a green/blue hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
