Canterbury: Lorry driver Vygantas Stanulis charged over crash near Harbledown

A Lithuanian lorry driver has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a horror smash on the A2.

A male car driver suffered chest, leg and facial injuries after his Ford Fiesta was in collision with two lorries near Harbledown on January 19 year.

Emergency crews sealed off the A2 in both directions during morning rush hour as firefighters battled to free the victim from the wreckage.

He was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

Vygantas Stanulis, 54, will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on April 26.
