Man taken to hospital and another arrested after suspected knife attack in Herne Bay

A man is being treated in hospital for suspected knife wounds after an alleged assault in Herne Bay this morning.

Police were called to Sea View Road, a quiet residential street, shortly before 9am.

Officers sealed off the house, where building work is in evidence, including scaffolding and piles of bricks.

An ambulance was called and a 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with cuts to his hand.

Another man was arrested at the scene.

Police spokesman Andy Saunders said: “A 40-year-old man from Canterbury has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody.”
